I was contacted recently about a way to directly import text files into Athena. While I didn’t want to write this directly into Athena (or at least yet), I wrote a small C# application that will do this. Basically, you can use this utility without using Firefox at all. Assuming that you’ve used Athena before and have the athena.sqlite database in your Firefox profile, you can have this utility scan a directory of txt files and enter those text files directly into Athena’s database. Archive for the “Tools” CategoryI just released a small utility that just generates a screenshot of the desktop and then places the file on the desktop. This could come in handy if someone needs a screenshot and you don’t want to explain to the user how to do a screenshot in paint. See the random tools page for download. I changed the log format for the uninstall list generator, it will now display as such. DisplayName–>UninstallString [key] The key is actually the key in the registry, for example, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\key. I just got finished writing a tool that generates a text file with all uninstall strings, keys, and display names found in the windows registry. The file will be generated in the same directory as where you run the program from. If you have any issues, please report them in the forums. |
