It’s been a while since I’ve updated you guys on things so I figured I’d start update everyone on what’s going on with Athena and Malware Search.

I originally developed these plugins for Firefox because that was my browser of choice at the time. Times change and new programs are developed. I’ve almost exclusively started using Google’s Chrome.

Without getting into the details of why I like Chrome over Firefox, I just wanted to let everyone know that I will no longer be developing any new features in Athena and Malware Search for Firefox.

All future development efforts will be in Chrome.

So where do we find the Chrome version? Athena was one of the main reasons I stuck with FF over Chrome.

    Not with FF4 it won’t.

As a supporter from the beginning of both Malware Search and Athena, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that you will not be continuing support for Firefox (although I notice Malware Search has version 9.3.4 for FF version 4, which I appreciate). I guess it is time to keep my eyes open for alternate solutions as I have no desire to switch to Chrome. There are other extensions in Firefox that I rely on.

    Take care!

In the event you missed the update at UNITE, Athena works just fine on FF version 4.
