Firefox 3.0.6 on Win XP, I get “No speeches were loaded.”
Restart Firefox, they should show up. This is a known bug I need to work on.
According to the check of add-ons before installing FF 3.5, Athena is identified as not being compatible with Firefox 3.5.
Note: Using Nightly Tester Tools, I was able to force the update and Athena works fine.
Are you using version 0.1.4? There was no real change between 0.1.3 and 0.1.4 except for the version, so what you did should be fine.
I had the same problem. I went to update Firefox to v3.5.2. Got notice that one or more add-on might not work. When I checked, it said Athena wasn’t compatible. But replies to a message I left told me it does work, so I’m checking here.
I have Athena v1.0.3- didn’t get any notice to update. Saw v 1.0.4 and these comments. So what’s the story> I have a multitude of canned speeches in Athena which I don’t want to lose- How do I update Athena and why is the compatibility notice being given.
This is an awesome add-on BTW!!
Thanks for the comment, 1.0.5 should work ok for you but there is a couple of known bugs. I’m working hard to get the bugs straightened out. The reason you’re not getting update notices is that Athena doesn’t check in for updates. It requires an SSL certificate to do this and I don’t have one for urlhadtodie.com.
Your speeches will be fine. If you are concerned, export them before you update.
