Malware Search 0.8.9

I just uploaded Malware Search version 0.8.9 which fixes a bug when trying to access the options menu.

    I was wondering why the update to 0.8.9 removed the elaborate System Lookup right click option. When I highlight the file/CLSID etc, and go to System Lookup, the only option is to search for File Name, CLSID or File. Why did you take out all of the specific places to search like the start up entries or the 020s, etc? Thank you

      Mike,
      I removed it because MalwareSearch now uses the global search that is available on SystemLookup. So if you do a search for a CLSID, you no longer have to find the particular category you wish to search, but just choose CLSID and then it gives you all of the hits from SystemLookup. Hope that makes sense.

      Do you prefer it the other way?

    I prefer the old style with the possibility to select the category in SystemLookup since it now can be a long list that I have to search for the right category in. Can you make it selectable, so the user can select the preferred style?

    Just want to say thanks. I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of this add on and it has saved tons of time also.
